Postcard: Sunset in Key West

Sunset in Key West, Florida @PennySadler

Who doesn’t love a beautiful sunset? Undoubtedly, one of the best places in the US to watch the sunset is Key West, Florida. Surrounded by water on all sides, it’s also the southernmost point in the continental United States. Believe it or not, it was once the largest city in Florida!

If you’re in Key West, THE place to watch the sunset is Mallory Square. I didn’t want to go to Mallory Square, for that very reason – everyone else would be there too!  I don’t love crowds, but was told quite clearly when I asked, “Where else can we watch the sunset?”
“The Sun. Sets. Here.”

The next time I’m there I think I’m going to charter one of those sailboats! That looks like a great place to watch the sunset to me. Have you been to Mallory Square?
