Two weeks ago, Italy came to Dallas as Italian Fashion Week – and for that week, I was content. Later this week, a friend of mine is leaving for a six week vacation in Italy. Ok, so she was fired from her job (sort of a forced vacation), but they paid her through the end of the year. Not exactly the best send off. However, as a freelancer, paid time off in Italy sounds pretty great to me. Besides, she didn’t like that job.
Then there are all the bloggers and expats either living in Italy or traveling through Italy, like my friend will be soon. For now, I’ll live vicariously through them, read their blogs, enjoy their Instagrams, and reflect on my travels through Italy. I know I’ll go back, it’s just that I’m feeling a bit nostalgic at them moment.
If you’d like to read some of my recent posts about Italy check out Roman Holiday, one of my personal favorites , Panzano in Pictures, Cell Phones Italian Style, and my photo story on Lucca for some inspiration. If that’s not enough to satisfy you, just type Italy into the search bar.
I posted this photograph on my Adventures of a Carry-on Facebook page recently and a friend commented, “Those scooters look sexier in Italy.” What do you think?
